Dr. Sonam Jain
Dr Sonam Jain joined National Judicial Academy in December 2018 as a Research Fellow and since then involved in designing and coordinating various training programmes for judges at different levels at the Academy. Ms. Jain has coordinated training programmes on various themes like Direct Tax, IPR, PMLA, Consumer Courts, Constitution and Administrative Law, ICT Enablement of Indian Judiciary through ECourts project etc. She has worked on programmes for judges of Bangladesh and Maldives.
Dr. Sonam Jain has completed her PhD from Barkatullah University, Bhopal on thesis titled “Problems and Issues in Investigations and Trials relating to cyber-crime in India: A legal Study”. And completed her LL.M from NLIU, Bhopal. She completed her B.A.LL.B (Hons.) from DLSR, Barkatullah University, and Bhopal.
On behalf of the Academy, she has attended Judicial Education Seminar - Principles of Curriculum Development and Pedagogy (Virtual) organized by the U.S. FJC and CEELI Institute in collaboration with the NJA for the faculty members of the Academy. Prior to joining National Judicial Academy, Bhopal as a Research Fellow she had extended her services as an Assistant professor in Career College of Law, Bhopal where besides teaching she was involved in many other administrative responsibilities of the college. She acted as a coordinator of various academic and cultural programs of the college and was also the executive member of various academic and non-academic committees of the college.
She has participated and presented in various Nationals and Internationals seminars. She has various Articles published to her credit relating to bonded labour, Female Feticide, Juvenile Delinquency, Intellectual property Rights, Evidence and Environment Laws.
She has been called as an Expert by Doordarshan for a Live Program ‘Kanooni Salah’ on Property Rights of a women and also been invited as a speaker by All India Radio to share information on Consumer Laws and Laws relating to protection of Women.
For the past many years she is regularly being called to Judge at National Moot Court Competition in law colleges of Bhopal.
