Dr. Amit Mehrotra
After obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Commerce and Law, Dr. Mehrotra completed his Post-graduate in Law from M.D. University Rohtak and Doctorate of Laws from the University of Lucknow. He has to his credit one P.G. Diploma in Industrial relations and personnel Management and the other in Criminal Procedure and Advocacy. He was an advocate and practiced in the Allahabad High court, Lucknow Bench and also extended his services as a consultant to different law firms and organizations as a legal advisor.
He has extended his services in Amity Law School at Amity University where besides teaching he shared many other administrative responsibilities of the university. With regard to administrative functions he has significantly extended his services as a convener, coordinator and member in various committees and events.
He has coordinated various legal literacy camps, awareness programs and proceedings of Lok Adalat for law students. He was appointed as an Assistant Professor at Hidyatullha National Law University, Raipur where he has extensively contributed his teaching and practical skills and gave valuable contribution in coordinating National Moot Court Competitions.
He has also been associated with the two premium institutes; The Institute of Cost and Works Accountant of India and The Institute of Company Secretaries of India whereby he has been called upon as a guest speaker to deliver expert law lectures at Lucknow.
He has attended various National and International Seminars and Conferences, presented research papers and has many published articles to his credit.
Dr. Mehrotra received the Best Faculty Award from the Shri Ramswaroop Memorial Group of Professional Colleges, Lucknow for his overall exemplary performance in the academic year 2010 -2011. He initiated and established the Institute of Legal studies at Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University, Lucknow and was the founding Dean. He developed the curriculum for Integrated Five years Law programmes which include B.com LL.B (Hons.) and BBA LL.B (Hons.), Three year Law course, LL.M and PhD in Law.
