Dr. Humayun Rasheed Khan
Dr. Humayun Rasheed Khan completed his LL.B. (Hons.) and LL.M. from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Dr. Khan qualified UGC National Eligibility Test in the year 2002. He qualified U.P. Judicial Services in 2003 and joined as Additional Civil Judge (J.D.) in June, 2006 in district Gonda, Uttar Pradesh. Dr. Khan has worked on both civil and criminal sides in Gonda, Aligarh and Barabanki judgeships. He got promoted to U.P. Higher Judicial Services in 2016 and served as Additional District & Sessions Judge F.T.C. Kaushambi U.P.
Dr. Khan has served as Special Secretary & Additional Legal Remembrancer, Supreme Court Legal Cell, New Delhi. He has more than five years of experience in judicial education and training. He has served as Deputy Director, Judicial Training & Research Institute, U.P., Lucknow from July, 2014 to February, 2016, and then as Additional Director (Research) from July, 2020 to March, 2024. He has joined National Judicial Academy, Bhopal as Professor on deputation on 1st April, 2024.
He has been invited as a resource person at various universities, judicial, administrative, and police academies, and institutes of eminence, including Central Academy for Police Training, A.M.U. Academic Staff College, National Institute of Technical Teachers Training, Indian Institute of Science Education & Research, UNICEF Regional Conferences, RCVP Noronha Academy of Administration, M.P., M.P. Human Rights Commission, M.P. Police Academy, NIPCCD, UPAAM, Lucknow & Direct Taxes Regional Training Institute, Lucknow. He has addressed various stakeholders on contemporary issues related to Sentencing, Child Sexual Abuse, POCSO Act, 2012, Juvenile Justice, Human Rights, Matrimonial issues, law of interpretation, manners and etiquette for judges, art of judging, Case Management, Role of Prosecution in criminal justice system in India among other topics.
